Gabriela Guzmán, M.C.
From a young age, Gaby experienced the challenge of navigating her personal and cultural identity as the child of immigrant parents — feeling caught between the Latino and Canadian cultures. Rather than seeing her “in-between” identity as a limitation, she chose to embrace it, allowing it to shape her passion for creating spaces where others can feel seen, heard, and accepted.
Gaby’s own experiences inspired her to pursue a career in psychology and to build a practice that bridges the gap she once felt growing up. She is dedicated to fostering a warm, compassionate, and culturally safe space for clients from all walks of life.
Gaby is especially passionate about supporting women as they transition into motherhood. She provides care for those navigating perinatal mental health concerns, infertility, birth trauma, grief and loss, intimacy, infidelity, and relationship challenges.
Her additional areas of expertise include supporting the BIPOC community, individuals impacted by sexual violence and trauma, couples, sexual health, abortion and TFMR, as well as those facing intergenerational and racial trauma, cultural identity struggles, and newcomer or immigrant mental health concerns.
Gaby works from a trauma- and culturally informed lens, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Gottman Method.
At the heart of her philosophy is the belief that healing and growth are possible for everyone. Gaby recognizes the courage it takes to begin therapy — especially in communities where mental health remains stigmatized. As a proud Latina and second-generation Canadian, she is deeply committed to challenging stigma and supporting others on their path toward self-acceptance, healing, and empowerment.
Gaby offers therapy in English and Spanish and currently works with adults (18+).
Together, let’s end the stigma around mental health — one story at a time.
