Olivia is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University. Prior to beginning her studies, she worked as a kinesiologist, providing one-on-one support focused on gradual exercise progression, physiological change, and overall health. In this role, she worked with veterans, first responders, as well as individuals in education and healthcare, who were navigating complex changes in their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Through this experience, Olivia developed a strong foundation in supporting individuals living with chronic illness. This work deepened her understanding of the mind to body connection, which she integrates into her practice through somatic awareness, particularly when supporting clients experiencing stress, trauma, and chronic pain.
Olivia practices from a client-centered approach grounded in empathy and collaboration. She is curious, flexible, and responsive to each client’s unique needs. Olivia believes individuals have an inherent capacity for growth and recognizes the courage it takes to begin therapy.
She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), tailoring her approach to each client’s experiences with the goal of fostering insight, resilience, and meaningful change. Above all, Olivia strives to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions.
Outside of her work, Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner and dog. She also has a growing interest in espresso-based coffee and enjoys refining her coffee-making skills.
Olivia is currently available to work with individual adults (18+).
